The nature and cost of service depends on the specific suspension model, it's unique issues and prior maintenance schedule.  Model specific pricing is available from our Pricing page by selecting your fork model.  If your model is not included please see pricing below.

If you're not sure what type of service is required please contact us or we can make a recommendation after inspection of the fork.  Repair work is additional to a normal service.  We will always call and discuss before proceeding with any repair work.

These rates are for labour only and exclude repair.
Parts, oil & freight are additional and vary depending on the brand & model and the problems found.

Normally you book your fork, shock or dropper post for a Shockcraft service and send it when you can.  We service parts in the order that they arrive.  In busy times this can mean up to a month with a bike in pieces and no riding.

With our new Book Now, Send Later option you can keep your place in the queue and we tell you when we need your fork, shock or dropper.  Use our Carrier Kereru (Pigeon) Pickup service and we'll organise courier collection.  This can bypass much of the downtime.

Only require one Book Now, Send Later per group of service parts sent together.

Free option to cut down the wait time for customers dropping off & collecting their fork, shock or dropper post.  No need to purchase, simply choose this option in our service booking form.

Normally you would book your fork, shock or dropper post for a Shockcraft service and get it in to us when you can.  We service parts in the order that they arrive.  In busy times this can mean up to a month with a bike in pieces and no riding.

With our new Book Now, Drop Later option you can keep your place in the queue and we tell you when we need your fork, shock or dropper.  This is a free service for those dropping in and collecting their service parts (if you are too far away to drop off/collect then you can use our Book Now, Send Later service).  This can bypass much of the downtime.

You will be sent an email with a Post Haste courier ticket to print and attach to your parcel, along with a link to click to book pickup once your parcel is ready to go.  When the booking link is clicked you'll have the chance to enter delivery instructions.

IMPORTANT: pickup from a non-urban address is not available.  Check here to see if Post Haste classifies your address as non-urban.  You can either provide an alternative address in an urban area or enter a Post Haste depot/agent address as your address in checkout.  Please call your local Post Haste courier if you're not sure of their location.

ALEXANDRA & CLYDE CUSTOMERS: Dimensions/volume not required for pickup from Alexandra/Clyde addresses - enter zero for dimensions & weight.  The NZ$5 charge covers both pickup and return of the suspension/dropper post.

*Dimensions of parcel must be accurate.  If dimensions are incorrect and the freight cost to Shockcraft is higher as a result, this extra cost will be charged to you when we invoice the service job. Learn More

Permanent repair of creaking and ticking noises from fork crowns.  Also improves fork stiffness.  Shockcraft has the technology and understanding to dismantle and reassemble fork crowns for safe and permanent creak repair.

Note that damaged crowns will be rejected.  This is not a repair for parts stretched or bent.

Pricing depends on whether we receive a stripped Crown Steerer Unit (CSU) only or a whole fork.  If you send a whole fork we need to strip and rebuild it.sembly. 
Forks with cartridge dampers (e.g. Fox FIT/GRIP/GRIP2/CTD, RockShox Charger, Manitou MC2 or Mezzer) require a minimum of a Lower Leg & Air Spring Service. 
Forks with in-leg or open bath dampers (e.g. Fox open bath, RockShox all except Charger, Marzocchi Z2) require a minimum of a Standard Service.  The service labour pricing provided excludes additional repair.  Parts, oil and freight are additional and vary depending on the brand & model and the problems found.

Available immediately for RS Zeb, RS Yari/Lyrik 35 mm, RS Pike 35 mm, RS 32 mm Fox 38 mm, Fox 36 mm, Fox 34 mm, Fox 32 mm Manitou 37, 34, 32 and 30 mm, MRP Ribbon 35mm  forks and more.  New sizes have a slight delay as we design and manufacture tooling.

Final sizing and tolerancing of fork bushings to ensure minimal friction and maximum performance.  Cures issue of friction and stiction to improve small bump control.  Also reduces break-in time of a new fork to zero.
Burnish sizes are carefully chosen to provide maximum oil film thickness without any knocking or noticable play.

Available immediately for 30 mm, 32 mm, 34 mm, 35 mm and 36 mm forks.  Other sizes will have a slight delay as we manufacture tooling.

Labour for replacement or resizing of fork bushings to fix looseness, knocking or play.  Includes burnishing to final size.

Available immediately for 28.6 mm, 30 mm, 32 mm, 34 mm, 35 mm, 36 mm, 37 mm, 38 mm and 40 mm forks.  Other sizes will have a slight delay as we manufacture tooling.

Note wiper seals need removed for this service and almost always require replacement.

Price excludes cost of replacement bushings.
Price shown is for labour when lower legs are removed from fork and provided dry
If whole fork is provided then minimum additional labour will be Lower Leg Service labour, as per pricing here

Replacement of individual Stanchion or Steerer Tubes in fork crowns.  Shockcraft has the technology and understanding to dismantle and reassemble fork crowns for repair.
Note that damaged crowns and tubes will be rejected.
