Installation Instructions
Strip fork lower legs and spring side. Leave damper cap, shaft and oil in place.
Damper shaft removes with an 8mm hex key turned clockwise into the lower legs.
Lay out coil spring cap, spacer, spring, compression rod and bumpers on bench as they fit in.
Take photos for reference.
Remove negative spring from air shaft (this is temporary)
Lay out air spring compression rod and bumpers beside it.
Arrange bottom spacers on air shaft to match coil version. This is different for 80/100 and 130mm versions.
Arrange top-out spacers on air shaft so the end-cap position matches the coil (this is different for each travel).
Reinstall negative spring on air shaft.
Grease air compression rod and install into stanchion. Motorex Grease 2000 is perfect.
Grease air piston seal and install into stanchion. Slickoleum is perfect.
Install the air cap without the spring pedestal.
Pump fork to approx 50psi and check spring function.
Check exposed compression rod matches the damper side for length and travel.
Check exposed compression rod matches your original coil spring setup.
Grease wiper seals and bushings, drip bath oil into foam rings.
Slide lower legs on halfway.
Inject 16cc of bath oil per side (Supergliss 100K, Motorex 5W40 fully Synthetic etc)
Reinstall lower bolts and knobs.
Check fork function and reinstall.
