Marzocchi Bomber CR Service & Repair (Shockcraft)

Piggyback stickers on these shocks get unavoidably damaged during full service.  Shockcraft replacement sticker is included in the service.  Genuine sticker types cost extra and styles change depending on supply and model year.

Clunking/knocking is caused by breakup of an internal spring clip.  This is a common problem and feels worse with the compression closed.  This is permanently repaired in a full service at no cost. 

Shaft Failures
A less common problem are shaft failures due to yoke mounted frame designs.  Otherwise these shocks are very reliable.  Shaft failure can sometimes be seen early as oil leaking around the shaft/head junction.

Performance problems:
The  stock compression is too firm and rebound too slow for many riders.  Rebound aslo affects compression greatly.  Shockcraft tuning fixes that and more.  Thinner oil can be requested during a service at no cost which is an easy way to speed these up.

Consumables:
We use Shockcraft o-ring seals and Motorex/shockcraft oils in these shocks.  Full genuine kits are available on request.

Travel Change:
Stroke can be changed by installing/removing/changing spacers during service.
