Everyone loves a good cargo bike.  We've built a new Shockcraft longtail cargo bike using a mix of new, rescued and refurbished parts.

We rescued, drilled and refurbished a ~2007 Specialized Rockhopper frame, rust killed and repainted an Xtracycle FreeRadical cargo bike kit (silver in photos) & fitted a brand new Manitou Circus suspension fork with SUNringle front wheel, with a cluster of other new, new-old-stock and solid existing parts.

Xtracycle made the FreeRadical kits from 1995 to 2013.  They are an extender which turns a 26" bike into a longtail cargo bike with a deck, bags, foot rests and a whole catalogue of accessories from companies like Surly.

Installed on the front is a Manitou Circus Expert jump fork. Why a jump fork?  Because they're strong AF, have a 20 mm axle, are sprung and damped firm enough and have a straight steerer. On a longtail bike you have almost double the normal weight on the front and jump forks work perfectly with that.  Details on our cargo bike suspension options are here.

This thing is great fun.  It's fast and incredibly stable.  It's got the gears for slow uphill and fast down.  It's also quicker around town than a car - because parking is anywhere.
