Service Info & Pricing

The nature and cost of service depends on the specific suspension model, it's unique issues and prior maintenance schedule.  Model specific pricing is available from our Pricing page by selecting your rear shock model.  If your model is not included please see pricing below.

If you're not sure what type of service is required please contact us or we can make a recommendation after inspection of the rear shock.  Repair work is additional to a normal service.  We will always call and discuss before proceeding with any repair work.

These rates are for labour only and exclude repair.
Parts, oil & freight are additional and vary depending on the brand & model and the problems found.

Normally you book your fork, shock or dropper post for a Shockcraft service and send it when you can.  We service parts in the order that they arrive.  In busy times this can mean up to a month with a bike in pieces and no riding.

With our new Book Now, Send Later option you can keep your place in the queue and we tell you when we need your fork, shock or dropper.  Use our Carrier Kereru (Pigeon) Pickup service and we'll organise courier collection.  This can bypass much of the downtime.

Only require one Book Now, Send Later per group of service parts sent together.

Free option to cut down the wait time for customers dropping off & collecting their fork, shock or dropper post.

Normally you would book your fork, shock or dropper post for a Shockcraft service and get it in to us when you can.  We service parts in the order that they arrive.  In busy times this can mean up to a month with a bike in pieces and no riding.

With our new Book Now, Drop Later option you can keep your place in the queue and we tell you when we need your fork, shock or dropper.  This is a free service for those dropping in and collecting their service parts (if you are too far away to drop off/collect then you can use our Book Now, Send Later service).  This can bypass much of the downtime.

A pressing service using our custom tools which remove and install bushings and bearings without damage to your shock.   If you'd like us to replace the bushings in your rear shock eyelet, click Book Now.  You can select just shock eyelet pressing or other service options.  You will receive a job number and details of where to send your rear shock.

Note there is no charge for shock eyelet pressing if completed during a Shockcraft service.

A Shim Shuffle is changing the stock tune in a fork or shock damper to another factory pre-configured tune.  For example changing a medium tune to a firm tune or a soft tune.

It is only available with a fork or shock service where factory tunes are published.  It does not include any shims or parts, they are charged separately if required.  Does not include dyno testing.

This charge is for shim shuffle as part of any compatible fork or shock service.

You will be sent an email with a Post Haste courier ticket to print and attach to your parcel, along with a link to click to book pickup once your parcel is ready to go.  When the booking link is clicked you'll have the chance to enter delivery instructions.

IMPORTANT: pickup from a non-urban address is not available.  Check here to see if Post Haste classifies your address as non-urban.  You can either provide an alternative address in an urban area or enter a Post Haste depot/agent address as your address in checkout.  Please call your local Post Haste courier if you're not sure of their location.

ALEXANDRA & CLYDE CUSTOMERS: Dimensions/volume not required for pickup from Alexandra/Clyde addresses - enter zero for dimensions & weight.  The NZ$5 charge covers both pickup and return of the suspension/dropper post.

*Dimensions of parcel must be accurate.  If dimensions are incorrect and the freight cost to Shockcraft is higher as a result, this extra cost will be charged to you when we invoice the service job. Learn More

Standard service for periodic service to solve damper and air-seal issues.
Complicated service to fix any top knob issues (leaks, bent/broken stops etc)
Pricing excludes repair & repair parts
Damper options are Shockcraft seals or OEM kit.
Air Can options are quad-rings for clean shocks or full OEM when everything is contaminated.

Pricing includes oil, internal seals, gas plug and Shockcraft piggy back sticker.  Additional pricing for repair parts,  damage repair, wiper seal, OEM seal kits, OEM stickers etc. 

Spare parts, shafts, springs and pivot hardware are usually available but may incur small delays due to the large number of sizes.

These shocks are not shim tuneable.  They use fixed poppet springs for damping adjustments.  We can offer a dyno dial-in.

Rockeater Damper Upgrades & Tuning
Send us your rear shock and we will upgrade with with new piston and damping circuits then tune it.
Rockeater tunes for rear shocks are targetted at 400lb/in spring-rates.  They will work very well for 350-450lb/in range and still better than stock for 300 & 500lb/in sprung riders.

The upgrades replace the main piston and all shim stacks inside the shock.  Replacing the harsh base-valve conical washers with custom designed metric shim stacks.  The shock is then tuned for a rider using a 400lb/in spring.  Making this shock fun and predictable without harshness & lag.  Increases both support and compliance.
